How it all started?

Believe it or not, my journey to create Soyful Sanctuary began while I was working. The inspiration came from someone I deeply admire, who encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. I didn’t know how much the next couple of years would change as I sat with him that day. I was on the computer while talking with him about buying seasonal scents when he suggested, “Why don’t you just create your own?” He didn’t know it then but a movement ignited within me, leading to nearly two years of exploration and testing.

What a journey it has been, learning how to build a business from the ground up! For months, I enthusiastically sought feedback from him and my coworkers, sharing my new scents and creating small batches. Their unwavering support helped me navigate the countless ideas I had. I created seasonal scents, holiday batches, personalized gifts, and holiday advent calendars, which all helped refine my creations.

Where Memories Melt Into Meaning

As I continued to experiment, I felt a strong motivation to develop scents inspired by cherished memories and the people in my life. This is when Soyful Sanctuary truly took shape and became even more personal. The name came to me quickly and almost as a passing thought. It reflects my vision of crafting soy wax melts and allowing the scents to help create your personal space, wherever you go; Creating your comforting sanctuary.

I can hardly believe that I’m here, sharing the story of my small business with you. I’m excited to connect and hope that my memories and personal stories resonate with you, sparking new memories and connections of your own.

Why Wax Melts?

Like so many people, I absolutely adore candles. I find myself drawn to every new scent, even though I already have had too many to count! I know I can’t be alone in this, how many of you have accidentally left one or two burning just a bit too long? I certainly have, more times than I’d like to admit.

It was during this candle love affair that I discovered wax melts, and I quickly realized they offer the same delightful fragrance experience without the hefty price tag. It was a slow but enlightening realization. With wax melts, I could explore a variety of scents without feeling guilty about the cost, and I no longer had to worry about leaving them unattended.

Now, I can indulge my passion for fragrance freely, transforming my space into a cozy sanctuary filled with the scents I love. It’s amazing how a simple switch from candles to wax melts has not only saved me money but has also added a new dimension to my enjoyment of home fragrances!

Packaging Inspo

Creating scent profiles came so naturally, I’ve had so much fun putting thought to wax.
I am excited to welcome my vision to your personal spaces.

When I embarked on this quest, I experimented with so many molds that I began feeling lost, really. I tested every shape and size possible. Roughly nine months later, I couldn’t believe I have found it. Talk about a labor of love, this should come with a birth certificate! I settled on the perfect size and shape for my melts for two reasons: First, they’re small enough to let you build the scent in any room. Start with a couple little gems and keep adding until your space smells exactly how you want it, customization at its finest! Second, I wanted everyone to have the freedom to customize their scent. Throw in one scent gem or mix a couple different gems, this is where personalization meets sanctuary!

Let’s talk about packaging because, let’s face it, it’s not just what’s inside that counts! When I set out to create the perfect packaging, I drew inspiration from my love of books. Seriously, if Belle’s library had wax melts, this is what it would look like! I mean, who wouldn’t want their living space to feel like a fairy tale? I wanted the packaging to be as beautiful as the scents inside because let’s be honest, nobody wants to hide a pretty package in a cupboard (small nod to chip, if you know you know). Once I held the final design in my hands, I knew I had struck gold, and I didn’t bother looking at other options. I hope you find the perfect place to store them. I welcome you to share what that looks like. I hope you find the packaging as delightful as I do and that it adds a touch of charm to your space
